The Professional Coach Training Program trains leaders and aspiring coaches to develop coaching competencies to collaborate with others in order to reach potential. Courses may be taken a la cart. In order to graduate from the Professional Coach Training Program, participants must complete a total of sixty training hours.
Professional Coach Training Program (PCTP): The PCTP is an ICF approved training program comprised of four 15-hour training courses designed to train leaders and aspiring coaches. In this training, you will develop coaching competencies to collaborate with others in order to reach potential. Courses may be taken a la cart. In order to graduate from the Professional Coach Training Program, participants must complete a total of sixty training hours. Once a participant completes Introduction to Coaching, he/she may complete additional courses in any order. If a participant will satisfy the ICF training requirement by completing four 15-hour courses in the PCTP.
All courses are designed around the International Coach Federation Coaching Competencies. Each course contains opportunities for participants to practice learned coaching competencies as part of the overall learning experience. All courses are currently trained by Michel Smith, founder and president of Michael Smith Coaching LLC. Courses are currently available in English.
Definition of Coaching: The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. All of our Coach Training provide hours toward ICF Certification.

Introduction to Coaching
The purpose of this course is to introduce and orientate participants to the leadership discipline of coaching. We will introduce participants to coaching language, coaching conversations, and an overall understanding of what coaching is, how it differs from other leadership disciplines, and how partner with others to achieve their goals. Participants will learn about the eleven ICF Core Coaching Competencies, emphasizing Active Listening and Powerful Questions. Required text: Co-Active Coaching: Changing Business Transforming Lives by Henry Kimsey-House, Karen Kimsey-House, Phillip Sandaho, and Laura Whitworth.
Implementing Coaching
The purpose of this course is to move the theory of coaching to practice. Now that you understand what coaching is, it is time to implement coaching competencies into your behaviors, leadership, and coaching practices, empowering coaches to implement coaching competencies into behaviors, leadership, and coaching conversations. This course highlights the following ICF Core Coaching Competencies: Meeting Ethical Guidelines, Establishing a Coaching Agreement, Establishing Trust and Intimacy, Coaching Presence, and Creating Awarenenss. Required text: The Heart of Coaching by Thomas Crane.
Leadership Coaching
The purpose of this course is to learn how to coach leaders and employees within an organization. We will introduce participants to a strategic approach to a long-term relationship with a corporate client. In addition, we will explore the impact of Emotional Intelligence in the coaching process. This course highlights the following ICF Core Coaching Competencies: Direct Communication, Designing Actions, Planning and Goal Setting, and Managing Progress and Accountability. Required text: Masterful Coaching by Robert Hargrove. We will also be using Emotional Intelligence 2.0 (but, I am not requiring you purchase the book). However, it would benefit you to be familiar with this text.
Coaching Change Management and Culture Shift
The purpose of this course is to utilize all eleven ICF Core Competencies in coaching for change. We will look through the lenses of change management and coaching organizational culture shift. Description
Each course consists of 15 hours of training: Twelve student contact hours and three independent study hours (including reading a required text). Student contact hours may be delivered in a face-to-face or a internet based platform.

Payment
Each course must be paid in full prior to the beginning of that course unless other arrangements have been agreed to. If a participants needs to withdraw his/her registration prior to the course, a $25 processing fee is applied, and the remaining balance of received funds will be refunded.
